UL softball introduces two new additions for 2021

Louisiana softball coach Gerry Glasco signed a pair of players — one transfer, one high school product — in February and formally introduced them as the newest members of the team on Monday, according to UL’s official athletics website.

Jade Gortarez, a grad transfer from Arizona State, will join UL’s infield, while pitcher/first baseman Brinson Rogers signed with the program from Statesboro High, Ga.

In her two seasons at ASU, Gortarez was a two-time All-Pac 12 selection. Rogers, the incoming freshman, was a four-year starter in high school and was twice named Region Pitcher of the Year.
