Winston signs 1-year deal with Saints

The New Orleans Saints may have found Drew Brees’ successor.

At just 26 years of age, the Saints have agreed on a one-year contract worth $1.1 million.

The newly-signed Winston, coming off a record-breaking season with the Bucs in which he became the first player in NFL history to join the 30-30 club (33 touchdowns, 30 interceptions), will likely serve as the third-string QB behind Brees and Taysom Hill.

After being selected by the Bucs with the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Winston spent five seasons as Tampa’s signal-caller, racking up nearly 20,000 passing yards, 121 touchdowns and 88 interceptions before being replaced by the legendary Tom Brady this offseason.
