Joe Dillon spent his redshirt junior season getting reacquainted with the football field.
The University of Louisiana-Lafayette linebacker recorded 45 combined tackles, 8.0 sacks (team-high) and a forced fumble on his way to earning the Park Place Surgical Hospital Male Student-Athlete Comeback of the Year, according to ragincajuns.com.
He missed the entire 2018 season due to a hip injury before appearing in all 14 of UL’s games during the 2019-20 season. The 6’3″, 218-pound Mississippi native will look to add to that success this fall.
