LSU’s Lindblad heads SEC Women’s Golf Awards

It’s been a tough spring, but at least there’s finally some good news for LSU women’s golfer Ingrid Lindblad.

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced its women’s golf awards today and the Tiger freshman heads the list.

Linblad, a Sweden native, made LSU history by becoming the first person in school history to be named both the SEC Golfer of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year.

The First Team All-SEC selection is just the fourth Tiger in history to earn the conference’s Women’s Golfer of the Year honor.

Fellow LSU freshman teammate Latanna Stone was named to the All-Freshman Team and earned All-SEC Second Team honors. Senior Monica Dibildox earned SEC Community Service Team honors.
