Tulane’s Jannetta earns Freshman All-America honors

After posting a 3-0 record with an impressive 1.37 earned run average (ERA) in seven appearances (two starts, five relief appearances), Tulane University’s Luke Jannetta has been named to the Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-America team for the shortened 2020 season.

According to tulanegreenwave.com’s press release, Jannetta is the first Tulane pitcher to earn freshman All-America honors since Ross Massey in 2016.

In his 19.2 innings pitched, Jannetta struck out 16 batters while walking just one (ranked first in the American Athletic Conference in K:BB ratio). He also earned a save.
