Unfavorable playing conditions have wiped out the series opener for the Acadiana Cane Cutters of the Texas Collegiate League Tuesday night.
The Cane Cutters (1-5) were set to open a three-game home stand against the San Antonio Flying Chanclas (4-2) tonight before the team announced via its official Twitter account that the game had been canceled due to heavy rainfall this afternoon.
The Cane Cutters, which opened the 2020 summer season June 30, were swept by San Antonio on the road over the weekend and were hoping to bounce back tonight.
The two squads are now set to open the three-game series Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Fabacher Field.
