Louisiana State University of Alexandria’s Hunter Meche continued his summer league success this evening.
Tossing three scoreless innings, the LSU-A junior has allowed just one earned run in 13.1 innings pitched for the Acadiana Cane Cutters of the Texas Collegiate League.
Friday’s appearance, resulting in a 15-12 loss to the Brazos Valley Bombers, marked the second consecutive relief outing in which Meche pitched three scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts.
The lefty has recorded 14 strikeouts, one save and a TCL-leading 0.66 ERA in his seven appearances this summer. Meche also pitched 13.1 innings, posting a 1-0 record with a 4.05 ERA, during his COVID-19 shortened spring season with LSU-A.
