Just one day before the 2020 season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints have reached an agreement on a contract extension with running back Alvin Kamara.
The agreement, first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, is worth $75 million over five years.
Kamara, 25, is entering his fourth year in the pros after being selected by New Orleans in the third round of the NFL Draft.
In three seasons, Kamara has three Pro Bowl selections and has piled up 2,408 yards and 27 touchdowns on the ground. He also has 2,068 yards and 10 touchdowns on 243 receptions.
